A Naughty Old Doctor in Malta was recently elected to Lead the Professional Development of Clinical Preventive Medicine ; as an Independent Medical Specialty throughout Europe.

To this effect, we hereby publicly invite All Interested Medical Professionals in the Maltese Islands to speedily contact us without delay ; as this provides Malta with a Unique Opportunity to provide International Leadership within this Rapidly Emerging Field.

Each Potential Applicant (at Fellowship Grade) :

* Must be an EU Citizen (or Permanent EU Resident).

* Must Possess a Recognized Basic Medical Qualification.

* Must Possess a Recognized Full (Permanent) EU Medical Practitioner's License (and Warrant ; if Applicable)

* Must Possess a Minimum of 10 Years Post-Basic (Medical Qualification) Experience.

* Must Possess a Recognized Postgraduate Degree or Diploma or Fellowship ; in any Clinical Field which has a Decent Element of Preventive Medicine.

* Must have Satisfactorily Completed one of our Approved Intensive (Fellowship Level) Workshops in Clinical Preventive Medicine.

* This Initial Call is essentially for the Big Guns (i.e The Fellows). Other Junior Grades will Follow Later.

The First Ever (Fellowship Grade) Workshop in Clinical Preventive Medicine costs £2499 ; and shall take place in Gozo (Maltese Islands) ; sometime in the Summer of 2014. We are happy to announce that the First 25 Maltese Attendees are eligible to Exclusively Apply for a 25% Reduction ; thanks to the Gracious Largesse a Generous Little Donor.

Please Remember that Clinical Preventive Medicine is not yet Universally Recognized as an Independent Clinical Specialty within the European Union ; so there is Absolutely No Guarantee that you will actually be Accepted on any EU Specialists Register at this particular time.

Upon Completion of the Above Workshop and other Aforementioned Formalities , Graduands will (at best) be able to describe themselves as Doctors with a Special Interest in Clinical Preventive Medicine. This is the only Titular Benefit at present.

However , from a Maltese Point of View , since we are the one's in Charge of this Initiative, it is hoped that we may be eventually able to make an Official Judicial Approach to the Government to Formally Recognize Us (via the Associations Route) as Specialists in Clinical Preventive Medicine , if we are able to huddle together around 50 Formidable Fellows ; all of whom must be Fully Registered Medical Practitioners within the Maltese Islands.

Once Malta gets the First European Specialist Register for Clinical Preventive Medicine , other EU Countries will then follow ; but at least we will still retain Bragging Rights as the Seat of Clinical Preventive Medicine in Europe.

*PLEASE FURTHERMORE NOTE THAT THIS PARTICULAR INITIATIVE IS VERY LIKELY TO COME UP AGAINST EXTREMELY STIFF OPPOSITION FROM (OFFICE-BASED) PUBLIC HEALTH SPECIALISTS ; SOME OF WHOM SPEND MOST OF THEIR TIME (HARMONIOUSLY ERUCTATING) FROM THEIR POSH GOVERNMENT SUITES , FAR REMOVED FROM FRONTLINE CLINICAL CONTACT (AND COMBAT).

* FINALLY , PLEASE CATEGORICALLY NOTE THAT THIS PARTICULAR BATTLE IS NOT (REALLY) ONE FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED . . . THE ONLY GUARANTEE IS (CONTINUOUS) RESISTANCE FROM THE PUBLIC HEALTH ESTABLISHMENT.
